Everything You Need To Know About the Apple Pencil and Logitech Crayon

When it comes to tablets, Steve Jobs once said, “If you require a pen, you’ve already failed.” Yet, the quotation mentioned utilising a stylus as that of the primary tool for operating a tablet. When Apple unveiled the Apple Pencil first at end of 2015, they utilized this statement to demonstrate two things: 1) how times have changed, and 2) how Steve Jobs didn’t always make the greatest choice for the position.

In 2018, Apple released a new Apple Pencil that has been designed specifically for both the new iPad Pro devices and included more sophisticated functions. Certain iPads are compatible with the pencil’s Crayon variant, which is also less priced. The makers of all Apple accessories (อุปกรณ์เสริม Apple Pencil ครบทุกอย่าง, term in Thai) are Logitech. I’ll demonstrate all the capabilities of the Apple Pencil and the Logitech Crayon in this post.

Compatibility

Apple Pencils come in two varieties, and each one is compatible with a certain iPad model. 2. The following iPads are compatible with the Apple Pencil 2:

  • 12.9-inch iPad Pro (3rd, 4th 5th, and 6th generation)
  • The iPad Pro in size 11 (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation)
  • Air iPad (4th and 5th generation)
  • iPod touch (6th generation)

With the first-generation Apple Pencil, more iPads can be utilized. A few of these date back to 2015:

  • Apple iPad
  • iOS Air (3rd generation)
  • iPod touch (5th generation)
  • 12.9-inch iPad Pro (1st and 2nd generation)
  • 10.5″ iPad Pro.
  • 9.7-inch iPad Pro

To use the first-generation Apple Pencil with the iPad, a USB-C to Apple Pencil Adapter is required (10th generation). The Pencil features a charging wire that goes into the iPad (10th Generation), which has a USB-C connector.

Any iPads released in 2018 or after are compatible with the Logitech Crayon. Recently, Logitech released a new model. The updated model sports a USB-C connection in place of the Lightning connector seen in the previous generation. There are still two Crayon models available, but if you want to get one right now, USB-C is a better option since it will probably end up becoming the standard.

It’s challenging to charge the original Apple Pencil since you have to remove the cap and use a Lightning connector, which is simple to misplace (on an iPad or iPhone). You can connect the pencil directly to the iPad, yes. If you don’t take caution, this might damage both devices.

Form component

Since the first Apple Pencil was totally spherical, it could roll about on a desk or table with a crooked surface. The new model’s flat edge prevents undesirable movement. This is obviously different. The circular pencil was attractive to look at, but it served no use. Since it has a matte surface, the new Pencil is more flexible and easier to grasp than the previous one. The body of the Logitech Pencil is oval. It can be set flat on tables, although it is fairly broad, so not everyone will find it comfortable.
